Food was just okay. Burger was far to spicy, after waiter told us it was very spicy at all. Prime rib was over done. Waiter was not very attentive and he was not very knowledgeable about the menu items.
There was a concert, so the restaurant was busy, but we had been there a few weeks earlier for a concert and the service was excellent, along with very good food.
The meal was fantastic. We were thrown off guard at first. We were expecting to dine at Sage. We arrived and it was a whole new restaurant with a completely different menu.
Food and service was amazing. Would have liked a heads up though. Very good food and dining experiance, our waiter could have looked a little more happy!
He looked very unfriendly not a smile was cracked through all of our dinner. We pleasantly found the service and food to be excellent.
Ben, our waiter, was very attentive and the food was very delicious. I would totally recommend the brisket and scallops.
Both were prepared perfectly. A few of the reviews complained about the smell of cigarette smoke spoiling their meals, but we did not notice this at all in the restaurant and we are not smokers.
All in all, we were very happy we decided to give The Sage a try and would not hesitate in booking again. I had one of the best steaks of my life!
Service was top notch! I will be back Waiter was very attentive at first but as he got more tables our service declined. Overall food was ok but not an exceptional food experience.
Might try it again and try a different selection. I had the Brussels sprouts and they were ok but came to the table like warm. I did mention just to make them aware.
Beet salad was good but for the price point nothing exceptional. I think there needs to be some improvements to the menu. Everything you would want for breakfast and quick service.
The dinner food selection is huge, you have a choice for vegans or meat fans. Soups, dessert, pork, beef, chicken, seafood, oh yes they even have pizza, samosas.
The breakfast has a huge assortment of pancakes, french toast, sausages, bacon, even make your own waffles The pastries are delicious.
The wife and I stayed at this property on her birthday to take in the dinner buffet. I made reservations online before going down but was promptly seated without much trouble.
The quality of the food was high, very flavourful with prompt service from the Yes to the dinner buffet- no to breakfast.
Came here after a day of swimming. Made reservations and was seated promptly in a cozy booth. Came at 5 which is a good time as at 6 it started to get busy.
Specials today was leg of lamb and ribs. Leg of lamb was Buffet was small but good selection of cold and hot foods. The vegetarian lasanga was great.
Leg of lamb was great. They had a nacho and poutine bar which was also good. Chili was good. You can build your own burger. They had a dessert table and ice cream dispenser.
Service was average. The Food Manager Mr. Ryan Brown informed her that all our party has to be here to get seated, she replies that we were finding parking in the lot.
From 6pm seating to pm, Mr. My sister reassured him that she has confirmed that we were parking in the lot. My other sister dropped off our father and her family at the front lobby at pm.
However, our dad is 80 years old, has to walk slowly using his cane. It takes him a lot longer to walk than most people.
While her family walked him through the lobby down the hall to the Bistro, she tries to find parking. It takes her almost 20 minutes of circling a busy big lot, waiting while another car leaves, and being frustrated as an ignorant jerk squeezes into the spot she waited for, finding another spot, and walking almost a block into the casino.
She arrived from a northend subdivision in Edmonton, Skyview. My brother drove through the downtown bottleneck of Edmonton and it took him awhile circling the parking lot.
He arrived at the casino before 6pm. I arrived at the casino's parking lot at from the other Edmonton bottlenecked area University. Seven of our party of 8 were seated at pm.
After dinner, usually 4 people stay minimum 3hours unloading alot of time and money in the casino. Which did happen tonight as well. Food quality was 6.
Not once did any of the 3 managers performed a quality check. And, as always, the best host Gary Butler worked his magic and arrange for us "last minute" table reservation.
Everything was sunitized and servers were compliant with "new normal" rules. I felt safe! I am not a good writer Date of stay: October Trip type: Traveled with friends.

In June we realized that an outside wedding with reception dinner and dance would be difficult given COVID. We approached River Cree Resort and Casino to see if they could host our event in a very short time, only 2.
Gary, Vik, David, Larissa, Blair, and the whole team banquets, cleaning, hotel staff, reservations, etc.
It was a great day for all and every guest was left commenting on both how well the COVID precautions were in place and how themed the whole event was.
We would recommend this location for all who wish to have a celebration that is both safe and fun! Date of stay: September Cleanliness.

I could feel a bit of a "wind" coming from the casino and by the check in area. Since they opted not to have a physical separation between the smoking area of the casino and the hotel, this is something that should never, ever happen.
The first night's check in was when it was significantly bad - enough to coat your clothes and lungs with smoke. The front desk clerk acknowledged that she could smell it also and added that she didn't like it.
So much for Marriott's "empowerment". What appeared to be a manager was by and I mentioned this and that they needed better fans. She retorted that the "fans were on" which is doubtful because the "wind" blowing from the casino was not nearly as great later on, and the next day.
In any case, her assertaton that "the fans were on" and that was the limit of their responsiblity certainly is not in my mind the right thing to do. They advertise smoke free, and it is not smoke free if you have a casino physically attached to it where the smoke is blowing in.
For all the millions of dollars they spent on the facility, they could spend a little more to make sure that the air blows the other way ALL of the time.
The room was fine. The king sized bed was very comfortable. They have flat screen TV's with a few HD channels even hooked up to them. An interesting thing is that one generally does not have a 10 or so storey building in the middle of the prairie, so the view was rare and nice to look out the windows and see the farmer's fields.
On to the breakfast buffet - not a bad price for what they had on offer. The food was good and the scrambled eggs were made to a proper consistency, which seems to be a challenge in the Marriott world.
I don't have any complaints about the hotel room, restaurant, check out process etc, but it would be more ethical if they would stop pretending that is is all right to have thick tobacco smoke in your hotel lobby as long as no one is physically smoking in that particular room.
Since most of my friends do not smoke, I had to check the "not recommend to a friend" box - but if you don't mind the smoke, by all means, it is a nice hotel to stay in and many people do like having casinos.
I am sure they make a lot of money. There is lots of free parking. It also looks like they have extensive conference facilities, a small business center and such.
The "store" is pretty small. We travel extensively across Canada, The U. Asia and have to many European destinations.Bild von River Cree Resort and Casino, Edmonton: main buffet - Schauen Sie sich authentische Fotos und Videos von River Cree Resort and Casino an.
